Active membership is open to any applicant directly, primarily, and regularly engaged in lease or title-related business for a cumulative period of not less than two (2) years, performed within the past five years at the time of application. All active members shall be eligible to vote, hold office, and chair a committee.
Associate membership is open to any applicant having been directly, primarily, and regularly engaged in lease and title-related business for less than two (2) years at the time of application. An associate member enjoys all the same privileges as an active member, except the right to hold office.
Honorary life membership shall be conferred upon those persons whom the Board of Directors feels have rendered outstanding service to GABALTA or made noteworthy contributions toward the establishment of lease and title work as a professional. An honorary life member shall be eligible to vote, hold office, and chair a committee.
Meetings of the organization shall be regular or special. Regular membership meetings shall be held a minimum of one (1) time per year and special meetings may be held at any time the affairs of the organization necessitate such a meeting to be held. Administration of the affairs of GABALTA may be conducted at any board meeting, regular meeting, or special meeting.
Budget & Finance: Assists the GABALTA Treasurer with auditing the association's financial records.
Education & Program: Responsible for ensuring local educational events are scheduled, which includes securing venues, identifying speakers and industry topics, and more.
Membership: Responsible for keeping an accurate list of current membership, creating membership forms, submitting national membership dues to the NALTA Treasurer, and creating annual membership forms.
Publications: Creates and maintains GABALTA's website and social media pages and is responsible for preparing chapter newsletters.
Nominating: Prepares annual ballots for the Election of Officers and Directors.
Grievance, Ethics, & Parliamentarian: Responsible for abiding by NALTA's Code of Ethics and ensuring GABALTA upholds these ethical standards.
Hospitality: Responsible for promoting GABALTA, recruiting new members, planning community outreach events, and organizing chapter social events.
Publicity: Responsible for maintaining GABALTA's records and promoting local and national educational events.
Election: Appointed by the current President to assist the Recording Secretary in recording and certifying the annual election results.
